Yes, we all know the rules are not a fun thing to read, and frankly? Many of them tend to be the same on most roleplay forums across the internet. However, as daunting as it can be, and as boring a read, much of this is tailored specifically to this website, and must be understood. To apply to this website, is to agree to abide by all following rules. You will be expected to follow them, and any breaches of conduct can have repercussions.
► OC characters are allowed!
► Do not argue with staff, we aren't trying to sound bossy, but the RP will run more smoothly. You will be given the respect and freedom you deserve, but no means no.
► Serious violations of the rules result in consequences, you get the maximum of five warnings before you are kicked from the role play.
► Treat others the way you want to be treated. Please be respectful to both the staff and the other role players, if you have a problem with one, talk it out with them or the staff. Privately. Not in the chat, not in the RP, and not in my forum. Through messages.
► If someone does not post for 3 days you may get permission from them to skip their character.
► Your character can be the worst of the worst, rude, or aggressive. Even dramatic. However, this type of behavior/interaction is only permitted between characters during RP and no where else.
► Literacy is a must. You don't have to be a novelist or super descriptive, but proper grammar and punctuation is expected. Occasional mistakes are understood, but not on a regular basis.
►No god modding, power playing, or controlling other players' characters. You must give them a chance to react/respond and always check with the character's role player first before killing them off, or putting something in your sign up that effects the character such as relation, married, childhood friends, or enemies.
► 300 words per post is the MINIMUM. Write something someone wants to take the time to respond to. Again, you don't have to write multiple paragraphs but description is a must. There is no limit to post length.
► Please, please, /please/, be active. It's no fun if the role play moves at the pace of a slug. One post per day is encouraged, but if you are busy for some reason, I allow VERY flexible posting requirements. It is really better if you can post more than once a day, but if you can only post once it is understood. Please tell me if you wish to quit instead of just becoming radio silent.
► Perfect characters are not allowed. No one is the 'prettiest' or the 'strongest'. Characters have flaws and fears, as do real people. Your character will be booted if they have any god moded traits.
► Do not expect to win a battle under unrealistic terms, much less overthrow a powerful character unless you check with both me and the player first. You cannot kill off people's characters without checking first, or severely maim them. This is to protect the feelings of BOTH players.
► This is a Pg-13+ role play, which means what you can write is very flexible. However, extreme gore is not allowed and descriptive mating scenes must fade to black or be taken to PM. Basically, take anything you would see in an R rated film to PM.
► To reserve characters or ranks, visit the cannon topic or face claim and post it there. Please do not explode the applications with useless information.
► Don't use the same pictures/images/gifs as others, check the face claim topic before choosing your play by.
► All major plot twists must be run by the administrator first.
► Every site handles its timeline differently. Some move in real time, others slow it down and have their own custom calendars; in contrast, we handle the timeline in Episodes. What this means is that each 'Episode' houses one to two months, and is framed traditionally in larger events to act as a climax. These are released when needed, meaning that if the site as a whole slows down, the story will not progress and leave everyone scrambling! In contrast if people are quick and chugging along, new story can be implemented and a new Episode posted.
It is your responsibility to ensure your character is not in two places at the same time within these Episodes. Everyone makes mistakes, of course, but if you set a date from your threads from the onset, you will minimize the need of having to relocate a thread. The Mods go to a lot of trouble to keep the Timeline (located HERE) organized and up-to-date, but we cannot do that without your help. If a scene has been omitted or placed out of sequence, please leave the Mods a note requesting that it be added or the position changed. If you do have to move a thread within the Timeline, always check with the other players involved – it affects their characters' timelines, not just yours.
The liquid timeline allows wolves to be up to two places at once, so you can have more time roleplaying your characters!
► Create an account to communicate with others separate from your IC account. Each character you make you will dedicate a new account to.
